Default CCW owners please come in!!!

I've had my ccw's for a month and everytime I clean them I still have water spots on them. I use Mother's aluminum polish. Am I using the wrong stuff or will this always be a problem?

Hmm...maybe you aren't cleaning them often enough in between polishings? Dude, honestly...most of the aluminum polishes work the same, it just takes elbow grease.

I've had the best luck with the Adam's 2 step polish system www.adamspolishes.com

Although I never tried it when I had my CCWs, I've heard that adding a small amount of vinegar to your water/soap solution will help eliminate the water spots. Here's a post with some good info:

You need more elbow grease to really polish out the water spots. A good compound with a little more cutting ability and some solid elbow grease and they'll come out.

well, if it means anything, i had similar problems with my polished z06's. SOMEtimes the spots would come out with HEAVY METAL POLISH 3-step system starting with red, then green, then blue compound. THe other time IT DIDNT work, i had to use 2000 grit dry/wet sandpaper and wetsand the spots until they came out, THEN use the 3 step system to polish them back up.
