I have Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's and they are good. My friend works at a local Goodyear and uses them on his car. I have no complaints. They handle great and are quiet. I had Goodyears previous to this and didnt feel any difference in performance.
To each their own though, I think you can get them for about $100 each or so.
Edit- NM I just looked, they must have gone up. Discount tire was just over $100 I thought in the early spring when I bought mine. Now they are $141!!!

I don't know what you guys are talking about as far as quiet tires. LOL
These are street tires we are talking about. Not 33inch boggers. lol
I've had BFG comp ta, cheapo generals, sumitomo now, good year eagle F1s, ect ect on my cars from the past and I've never heard tire noise from any of them unless I was squeeling some tires. lol

The BFG g-force sport is what I have. They were the cheapest of the BIG (and reputable vs Kumho, Fuzion, which I had before, or Sumitomo) name brands that I could find. Americas Tire Co had them for I think $130 each in the 275/40-17 size. All together out the door was a little under 700, like 680...

I loved my Yokohama AV ES100's. As a matter of fact I have a spare set here. They are a summer only tire with an awesome tread patter and I really like the look of the sidewall. They also have the rim protector on it...just in case.
Great tire IMO.
