Default 245/45/17 Tires On 17" OEM SS Wheels

Has anyone ever used a 245/45/17 tire with the OEM 17"x 9" 10 spoke SS wheel. I was just wondering how they would look compaired to the 275/40/17 tire/wheel combo. 245's are 1/2" narrower than 275's at the tread.

Yea I bought a set of ZR1's for cheap with 245 BFG Comp TA's and they were pretty stretched. Also (tires fault i'm sure) they were like driving on ice skates. I didn't think it looked very good and was happy to get a set of 275's back on my car. IMO i wouldn't do it but it's up to you.

Thanks...I was thinking about using Kumho Run Flats in that size, but I probably will not go that route now.

Anyone make run flats in size 275/40/17 ?

Do 255's on the front and 285's on the back

ive seen it.. it doesnt look great. but i think im getting some tires in that size for my stock wheels to beat around on because im sick of wearing out my expensive tires. My beater has been in the shop lately, well out in front of my house getting worked on so ive been putting too many miles on my car.

ill probably go with whatevers cheapest, kumhos or sumitomos, im not looking for quality.
