Default American Torque Thrust Ii

Have you noticed that you NEVER see TTII's on any C5 or C6 vettes ? That's because they are old school & really look dated on late model Camaro & Firebirds . Yes they are still a great looking wheel its just that they make F-bodies look really ancient , kinda older than their time really. But unfortunately there aren't any really nice looking modern aftermarket wheels out there for our rides, other than late model Vette wheels .

ummm?? dated?? hardly. You might also NEVER see them on the newer vettes bc of the size of the brakes. And just bc TT2s DO look good on fbodies. Doesnt mean they'll look good on every car(i.e. vettes etc). have you seen a new charger with TT2s???? Looks BAD ***.

wow... look at my old sig.. those TT2s sure made it look ancient

it's a timeless muscle car wheel in my eyes. The "heavy" & "muscular" look of the TT2 fit very well with the same characteristics many people like about the fbodies. It doesn't look right on a vette simply because the car is more athletic looking than muscular...so the TT2 doesn't suite it well.

Wheels on a car are a real personality changer and to say there aren't any modern looking wheels for the cars is just silly. Ever heard of HRE, iForged, Fiske, etc etc? Tell me those designs are not modern?

Really not sure what you point of this thread was other than to make a general statement about a wheel I guess you dislike.

oHHHHHH thread starter you opened a car of worms with this thread. *ducks throwing objects*I'm sure the TT2 guys and Zr1 guys are going to be all over this.

I think tt2s do look good on fbods, but jesus they are a dime a dozen. There are probably more "what should I buy tt2s or zr1s" threads in the history of this site than anything else.

Torq Thrusts are one of the best looking wheels designed. Timeless and classic. Adds muscle to late model Stangs and Fbodies.

they might be a dime a dozen on ls1tech. But not in everyday life. I very rarely see an Fbody with TT2s, unless I go to the shop or a car meet. But just driving around. I never see them.

and to be honest. I'd take a set of 17x9.5/11 TT2s over your 18x9 HP evos anyday.

by the way. 17x9.5/11 set ups are my favorite. Zr1s/TT2s/Boyds/Fikse. doesnt matter. 11s in the rear are bad.

Oh trust me, I am more than happy that the wheels on my old car were not a dime a dozen. Personally I would have rolled stockers before I put on some TT2s or hand me down vette rims.

Like was said above, just because a lot of people on here have them doesn't mean they are a dime a dozen. There is a world outside the Internet!! You know that, right?? I hardly ever see any F-Bod's with them. I also think it is stupid to buy a Collector Edition WS6 and change something like wheels IMO.

Stupid to change out wheels? You dont think adding wheels to a car can make it look better? Much like you tt2 owners and zr1 owners that did not buy your wheels for me, I surely did not buy a CETA for you.

I dont anyone ever slammed my wheel choice for taking off the stockers, or what I chose to do to my car...well except for some CETA owners, but hell tons of those guys take the stock wheels off and put them in garage and run polished ws6 wheels so the the "precious" stockers dont get damaged, now that IMO is stupid.

I don't think it is stupid to change wheels on any car. I just would not buy a Collector Edition model and change something that changes the appearance of the car because it is a limited edition. Just my opinion! I guess you could always put the stockers back on though if you wanted to, if you still have them. BTW, I don't have TT2's or ZR1's but I think they look good. I also think that adding 18" wheels looks okay and fills the wheel well nice but these are performance cars and probably better for performance/traction to keep with the 17" unless it is just for show. I guess the best option is to have a set of 17" for DD and 18" for show.

Like I said earlier. On here TT2s are "dime a dozen", but not in our everyday life. TT2s/FM5s are my favorite wheels. i'd take either of those 2 any day over anything. I dont care how many cars have them. They look bad *** and I love the stepped lip. People have diff opinions. On my white Z I have privat profils. They arent common. But does that make them better/cooler? No. I hate them.

by the way. Lets see some back and back/side views of that TA so we can see how skinny those rear wheels look. 9inches wide is a joke.

It's funny that some fool started this thread by bashing the TT2's and others are arguing with each other over the issue (I'm guilty also), while the original idiot has not responded at all.

11's on the rear might look good but they create understeer issues. The best handling will come from the same size meat all the way around.
