315 Tire Question
So I tried doing a search and it told me that LS1 tech search was down. So... I am wanting to get TTII's 17 x 11's in the back with 315 Sumitomo Tires. I know the BFH mod is involved, but how much is needed. I would like to see some pics or ge3t a detailed description of what to BFH. Also, If I am at stock height do I need to roll my fender lips? I looked at the sticky but didn't really want to read 38 pages so if someone could help me that would be much appreciated. Feel free to post pics...Thanks.

You probably won't have to do anything being stock ride height and running Sumitomo's. They generally run thinner and probably won't rub, you're too high for them to catch the fender so I'd say you're good. On a side note, my car is lowered, with 17x11's and 315 BFG's that measure almost 13" across, I had to beat the daylights out of my fender wells and rolled my fenders flat.

I'm interested in the same info also. Right now with my stock 16's, I'm like a 1/4 inch away from hitting the rubber on the bump stop. I couldn't even see how an 11 inch rim and a 315 rubber would even come close to fitting on my car. I am also at stock ride height.

I am stock height with bfg 315s on Zr1s. No rubbing, this is why I havent lowered the car yet as TRUST said he had to beat his wells and roll the lip and I havent felt like doing that yet.

i just rolled my fenders. when i order tires, im going with 315 sumis on 17x11 rears. i rolled as much as i could, and used a hammer also (though i hated doing it, it was ALOT faster and easier). borrow a roller and just do as much as you can. the top of the wheelwell is most important, and also easiest to roll. get it so the lip is as close to vertical as you can. the rest, just do as much as possible. use a hammer (carefully) to fine tune the angles if needed. also, dont forget to use a heat gun when rolling or hammering.
