Default Clear coat on ws6 wheels

need a wheels got a bent one and its being replaced found some for sale but the seller stripped the clear coat and re polished them to make the brighter. will these look a lot diffrent from my other wheels and does this effect the life or finish over time? any other thoughts on this

If they are polished aluminum they will carrode(*sp)

No clearcoat = Brilliant shine + difficult to keep clean
With clearcoat = Kinda dull looking (unless new)+ easier to clean

TRUE...BUT ITS SOOOOO WORTH STRIPPING THE CLEAR COAT...I STRIPPED THE CLEARCOAT ON MY CLEARCOATED TRAILBLAZER SS RIMS AND MAN DO THEY SHIE WAYYYYY BETTER

I have a 98 WS6 and stripped the clear cote because I read about how great they shined after words on here. Bad part is as soon as I went through a car wash they looked like sh___t! I have tried many pollishes including the Heavy Metal Polish and it takes way too much time for me. I am going to buy some chrome rims this week actually. I would have to polish once a week for hour each time to even keep them looking at an OK state which is not even shinny.
