Ok, so i thought it was bad when i saw some cars like that just because i thought the owners were idiots and didnt know what size tires to get.

But to find out they are doing it like that on purpose

Honestly, is that **** even safe? One of those pictures looks like the tire is barely grabbing anything on that rim to support the side walls. Without the lip of the rim protecting the sidewall you could practically get your finger nails under those things to let the air out. I'd sure love to be running 100+ on the autobahn with those under my feet!!

..if I were an idiot with a death wish.

JK I'd rather go to Japan and drift with them!

Well, they run them all-day long, hard cornering, and high speed. No known ill effects that I'm aware of !!! Just goes to show the incredible tolerances of modern tyres ! I believe they restrict it to minimum 45 profile though

Definitely not for me, I also wonder should it cause an accident if their insurance would covered them ? I suspect not.

Look at this it's mad !!!! A 185/45-15 on 7-15 before the air is blown in

and you thought that was mad ??

Some folks grasp the concept of physics, some don't.
