Default Chrome or Polished

I will buy a set of CenterLine Avenger wheels soon, but want to know if anyone have had any chrome CenterLine wheels for a few years and hows the finish holding up, leaning towards polished they are lighter.

If you're good about keeping your car and wheels clean then you should have no problem with polished wheels. Chrome is nice, but you get the added (miniscule) weight and the chance of it flaking over the years. If you're feelin like spendin a few more $$$ you could always get some Zoopseal . I don't know how well this stuff works, but I've heard good things about it. I think someone over in the appearance/detailing section has used it, maybe they'll chime in. I'm planning on getting some Boyd Coddington rims myself, and I will be using zoopseal.

you are pretty damn right about that i've had both types of rims (on other cars, not my z28) and with chrome all you have to do, is rinse with soapy water and dry with a diaper or soft cloth. now with polished, you better use zoopseal or you might be on your knees pretty often keeping them shiny. just my $.02 about polished v. chrome

I have chrome and they are a pain. You have to constanly clean them unless you want rust or pits. Polish wheels look just a cool maybe better and you can get zoopseal to keep them from getting damaged.

Get chrome! All you have to do to clean them is use soap and water. If you live in a cold climate, you shouldn't be running with them on anyway.
