Default What do you guys think of Nitto NT01 Tires?

Want a tire for both street and strip. I have a 16inch rim and wanted to know which one is best. The nittos look really good. Thanks

They are an "intermediate" (as opposed to "soft") compound "R" tire designed for budget (since they are longer lasting/cheaper than the stickier stuff) road racing/open tracking.

I would think twice about using them IF you drive your car in the rain at all (it seems MANY on here do not), especially when they wear down to half tread. Besides, even though the compound is the same as the Nitto DRs, the sidewall is MUCH stiffer, so if you are only looking for that 60'/launch, like everyone else on here, they are NOT ideal. If you are looking for something that will go around turns (in the dry, at least) much better than the average tire everyone's using, albeit at the cost of wear, then they are hard to beat for the price.
