I just got 295/35/18 BFG DR's for 18 x 9.5 Z06 wheels. I am wondering if these will rub or hit my bump stop at all, and if the BFH is needed. My car is not lowered either. But right now the car is on jack stands waiting for the wheels and tires to be mounted and i just put the rim right on the hub tonight to get an idea and it seemed to only be about a centimeter from the inside lip hitting the bump stop. Any info appreciated...

I had zero wheel hop, even when my suspension was stock.

I recently had 295 BFG DRs on my car with TomzWheels 18x10.5 w/ hotchkis springs and it SLIGHTLY rubbed on the wheel well. it wouldn't take much at all to push that area back a lil and have no issues. I didn't roll my fenders and was worried about that but I had NO ISSUES with the finder lips.

There is not ONE tire manufacturer that would "recommend" a 295/35ZR18 tire onto a 9.5" wide wheel . . . PERIOD. Do you think I pull this stuff out of my butt?
A square peg fits in a round hole too, if you hit it hard enough . . .

M/T has it listed on thier web site. 295/45/17, rim width 9.5-11.0 and 295/50/16, rim width 8.0-10.0 . plus I'm running 295/45/17 installed by tire-discount who said they would not fit. once I told them M/T had them listed on thier web site and they checked, tire-discount said "OK we can Do it". so it can be done............

just like Xsta said, it has alot to due with the side wall height. Just like I can run 315-60-18 on a 9" rim on my truck with no problems. But on my T/A I have a BFG 295-35-18 on a 10" wheel and it fits perfect. The tire does not bulge out nor does it look stretched on the rim.
As to fitment, I'm running the 295 on the AR Rebel 18 x 10 with 41mm offset in the rear and so far I have no rubbing. My car is not lowered and looks like I might have to roll the fender when I get new springs.
