Default m/t 315/35/17 drag radial

im planing on getting some drag radials 4 my 98 ss, i try the 275/50/15 and the car wasnt hooking at all on the street, was trying 2500 rpm launches and the car would just spin like crazy, so my question is how good are the 315/35/17 m/t drag radial 4 my car, my mods are cam bolt ons, 9inch,lca,and a umi t/a dyno at 415rwhp b4 the 9 inch, just want 2 do a little search b4 i buy them thanxs

I have run both of the sizes you mentioned. On my car(340whp) I sould hook fairly decent on both sizes, didnt really notice any diffrence between sizes. Make sure you get them hot, and I run 20ps in mine on the street.

when i try the 275 had them at 13 psi and where nice and hot dont no if it was cause of the street or cause i just need some other tire like a 315 or just go with a et street

Its really hard to get anything to hook on the street. How hot was it that day?

I just put a set on my ride,315/35/17 on some zr1's.They pretty much dead hooked from a dig at 30psi.My old set were the mt 275/40/17 on a 9 inch firehawk rim and they would hook pretty good but def spin .I love em,be careful in the rain though!
