patch or plug
patch or plug Patch or plug a nail hole in the tread on BFG KDW NT? I all of my truck tires they have always been plugged but I don't know what's best for a perfomance tire.

I was thinking patch might be better than plugging it due to possiblity of run high speeds and slinging the plug out.

I've always plugged my tires. Never a problem. I even had to put two plug in one hole in order to seal it...still no problems. I know tire shops don't like this and some will say it's not safe, but I have done it 20+ times without issue so far.

The plug will not "sling out". The theory is that after a puncture the belt structure could be damaged in such a way that the tire itself could fly apart.
Never plug or patch a tire with side wall damage... although I've done it on the edge of the tread.
