Default performance difference in 28inch tire vs. 26inch tire?

I picked up some used 15x10 prostars and they have 325/50 et streets on them, that's a 28 inch tire vs our stock tire height of 26 inch, what kind of difference is this gonna make in my 1/4 mile? I'm afraid it's too tall in combination with my 3.23 gears. Appairently I don't really know how to compare using the calculators online. speed and rpm didn't mean alot to me in terms of how this will affect my 1/4 times. I've been told that I will mph better, but that my times will suffer?

I have an auto with 3.23s and a VIG 3600 stall if that matters.
I'm also bolt-ons with a torquer 2 and a 100 shot from the bottle-o-power

I would go 26/27" or change gears in rear to 410s or 390s if you want to stay with the 28".

I don't want to stay with the 28", but I have them and I have 3.23s. I just need to know what kind of difference it will make. Maybe someone that's good with the math can equate it with a gear change for me? like keeping the 3.23s and the 28" tires is the equivalent of changing to 3.08s or something like that, that would make it understandable for me.

Its not that hard. Just divide 26" / 28" = 93% Now multiply your gear by 93% and it would be like gearing down to a 3.00 gear.

Also you would need to gear up approx 8% to compensate, so 3.23 x 108% = 3.49

Awesome man, thanks alot, it was my understanding that it wasn't a very big change like it sounds like and appairently that's right. I won't buy this big when I replace them, but they are brand new and they came along with a great deal on the prostars. I think I'll just run em until it's time to replace them and then get the right size. Unless of course my 10 bolt goes out then it's time to gear down anyways when I get a 12 bolt
