Boyd wheels strength question
Boyd wheels strength question Can Boyd wheels be used for drag/road racing from time to time?
I have a set of Boyd Timeless 5's that have been mounted on my car for over a year that's a daily driver. I have drag raced several times and participated in a road race event and I need to know if these wheels are strentgh rated. I have BMR lcas, aphr, Eibach springs, poly trans mount, poly torque arm mount, sfc, gload brace, stb, sway bar bushings/end links for the suspension.
I recently developed a bad vibration that I cant seem to pinpoint. The car shakes so bad at 75mph and only gets worse the faster I drive. I have a new alignment done and all of the wheels balanced. The wheels were way out of balance and its got me thinking that maybe I might have bent a wheel or 2.
Does anyone know for sure if polished aluminum wheels like these are strong enough to be used for abusive daily driver duties?
