Default Chrome C6 rims what size should I get.

I need to choose between the 17x8.5 or 17x9.5 all around. tomz wheels said I do not need a spacer. Any TA's running these rims? What size did you guys use. I do not know to much about rims, but I do know I do not want the rims sticking out way past the side of my car. thanks for any info.

We'll mine are not mounted yet but the 17x9.5 is what I went with due to the price of tires and the comfort of the ride. but I'm old school and like a little more sidewall.

by the way they are Tom'z c6 chrome as well

I just order my self 17x9.5 all the way around from tomzwheels. I had planed on doing 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 back, but there is a Back order on one size they told me today. I was told that there is 2 differnt company's that make C6 ZO6's I forgot which ones where on back order now tho.

I went with 18x9.5's. They don't need a spacer if you get the right brand. Order from TomZ and he'll get you the right ones for sure. I don't think 17 is big enough JMO though. Here's my 18's....

thanks for the pics 02trns_am. The car looks great even the same color as mine. I do like the look of the 18's on it. Any rubbing issues on turns. Also my y-pipe hangs a little low. If I bought a spring kit will the 18's give me a little ground clearance back?

Thanks. I figured I had to post since our cars look pretty similar. no rubbing issues at all. I'm lowered with Strano springs and Koni shocks. Its suppose to be a 1.2 inch drop. I hardly ever drag anywhere. I was wondering the same thing if the 18's for make it sit a little higher. You would that it would but I honestly don't know. I had the 16" stockers ( same ones as you now) on there for a day after I lowered it and it did look really low. I don't know if it actually was lower though. Hope that helps with your decision.

Same wheels and tires as me. Except mine are 18x10.5 in the rear. I wouldnt do 17x8.5s. way to small IMO. do 17x9.5s at least.

Go with 17x9.5's. The other size is to small. If you can go with 18x9.5 in front and 18x10.5 in the tear. That would look great.

I am pretty sure I am going to go with the 18 x 9.5 all around since you do not need a spacer. I am sure the ones tomz sell weigh much less than the oem. Does anyone know if you can get them without the corvette symbol in the center cap? Also how much were your tires? I will search latter (my wife is on the main computer and my laptop is about to die) just looking for the easy anwser. Thanks to all again for the help and the pics, those are some nice looking TA's, you guys should ***** some pics .s

Stock WS6 wheels are 9 inches wide. I doubt the extra 0.5" will make a difference. The probably account for that with the offset anyway.

No, you can't get them without the corvette symbol but the symbol on mine are just engraved no color. So you really can't see them. The tires cost me right around 1000.00 at Discount Tire. Mounted balanced and everything. Here's some pics since you want me to be a *****

You cant get the C6s without the Corvette centercaps. At least not from Tomzwheels. I've seen guys put stickers over the corvette emblem, which doesnt look too bad.
And, the Factory Reproduction C6 wheels (Which is what Tomz sells) are kinda heavy. My 18x10.5s with the 295s weigh a ton.
My tires were $904 from tirerack. Plus mounting and balncing which was like another $110 i think. I dont do much "whoring". I dont think my car is nice enough to be posting up unnecessary amounts of pictures. Plus, I dont have any really good pics of my car, or up to date ones.
