Default Bfgoodrich R1 vs. g force radial

I want to do a bfgoodrich tire just for the track. So which one of these tires is better for traction and also what size will get better grip 275/35/18 or 285/30/18????

What "track"?? Road course you want the R1, drag strip you want the g force drag radial.

Drag strip. But wouldn't the R1 be better on launch since its basically a slick??

NO. Mainly because of the construction of the R1, with it's super stiff sidewalls will totally KILL your launch, and possibly your axle with severe wheel hop on a hard dig. The DR on the other hand has a sidewall softer than a street UHP tire, let alone an R compound road race/autocross tire. Almost a "wrinkle wall" effect to help that 60'!!
