I'm buying 11.5" rims ... these rims would be idea for these tires in a 315 width, would they not?

I'm thinking these would be a good tire/rim to go with for street and strip usage.

you might want to also look into Nitto 555s or BFG KDWs, those two are great drag radials and perform well on both street and strip.

I already have Nitto 275/40/17's on the back corners. They do nothing but spin off the line. That's why I'm going with wider. Nitto's are no comparison to MT Street Drag Radials. I've had two pair of them on the car and they were great in a 285 width. But, at my current power level, Nitto's are out.

Mainly looking for someone with experience/knowledge to confirm these tires will fit on my TA on 11 1/2" rims:

12 is super wide. at that point ur not going to gain any contact patch. a 315 is perfect on an 11" rim. id use a 335 on a 12". figure a viper uses a 13" rim and a 345 tire and there is still a little bit of a inward bow on them.

That's the sort of info I was looking for ... kinda' along the same lines I was thinking ... 315's (below) on a 11" wide wheel .... thinking of Bogart's but they sure are expensive.

an 11.5 will work but i think u would be better off with an 11" plus it will be easier to fit and keep from rubbing. my bfg kd's are very wide and even on the 11" they took some work.

... NICE! ... and a great perspective from the lighter rotating mass side of things. I wanted to do 15's, but will stay with 17's because of the whole caliper grinding issues. Since it's mostly a street car, 17's make sense ... looking for lighter wheels for sure and the Bogarts seem to be strong enough not to worry too much about potholes.
