What tires are you guys running for daily driving? Street tires, not DRs. I have 275s (Sumitomos out back) on all four corners and I blow the tires away getting on it in either 1st or 2nd gear. makes the occasional on-ramp blast hard to do.

Well I have 285/30/20 Nitto 555's and with a stall have the same problem under about 50 mph. I think making 400 plus to the wheels make it difficult on street tires. Are you still running stock 3.42's?

Well, you can't get a much worse street tire than a Sumitomo tire..

If you need some traction, get some Goodyear GSD3s or a PS2 Michelin..

You get what you pay for..

yeah I've got 454 rwhp and my stock 275/40 17's are worthless with first and second gear. I was thinking of some Nittos also but not sure it that will help.

I have 3.90s and just an intake and exhaust. And my 295-35-18 BFG KDW2s hook very nicely. Granted I've only got about 320 to the wheels, I do have the slightly higher gear ratio.

On another note, you might want to consider getting a wider rear wheel/tire setup to maximize traction..

I would run DR's in the summer if they made them in 20 inch sizes.

pretty nice suspension work on mine, and I have 315/35/r17 sumitomo's. I spin like crazy in 1st and 2nd. I should be right around 400 at the wheels.

I've got 315 nittos in the back and even they'll spin when I hit the nitrous at full throttle. The only other time they'll break loose is when it's raining. Other than that they hook pretty good.

Yeah your not going to hook off with a 150 shot to punish the tires. My 285's make the 1-2 shift down right scary half the time...

I would hurry up and install those and see how much it improves.

315/35ZR17 Nitto Drags here for daily use. A little spin but not much.

275/50R15 Mickey Thompson Street Radials for serious duty. They hook like a *****!

Just put some 295/35ZR18 GS-D3's on my friends Z06 and they hook very well for not being a drag radial. A lot better than the supercars that came on it from the factory.
