Is there anything that will strip the clear off other than sandpaper? I see where it flakes off so I am thinking a chemical should beable to get under it and remove it. Thanks, Those look great by the way.

what would you use to polish them up them. My 02 ws6 wheels are kinda dull and I'd like to do this. Any step by step instructions online somewhere. What kind of maintenance would I have to do to keep up w/ the wheels.

I just finished stripping and polishing a set of IROC wheels. I used Busch clear coat remover (google it and you can find venders). It brushes on and wipes off. This is good stuff and very easy (WEAR GLOVES). After the first coat, 90% of the clear coat came off. Then you just go back and apply more to the remaining areas. It takes about 45 minutes per wheel and all of the clear is gone. No sanding.
I started using Mothers aluminum wheel polish but switched to Wenols metal poish (red tube) applied with a Mother's foam ball. The Wenols did a much better job. The wheels look great.

Sorry. I finished by using Wenols blue tube. Wenols recomended it as a last step. I drove from West Virginia to Tennessee (360 miles) in pouring rain and they didn't dull or spot.
