3 tenths? Your dropping about 80lbs... Which is good for about .1.. Every little bit helps though

I'm guessing about a tenth also. Roughly 100lbs off the car turns into .1 faster.

I know my front end rises HARD with the skinnies and no sway bar!

The stock 16's with tires are around 45 lbs each wheel.. 17's with tires are around 50-55 lbs each. Sooo how are you guys dropping 80-100 lbs total by going to skinnies? those skinnies would have to be lighter than air! lol.

I was curious about this too....I know they are lighter- and offer lower rolling resistence...I figured a tenth or 2- but I would like to know what the average gain would be.

Stock 17's with tires 50-55 lb EACH x 2 = 100-110 lbs total off the front end.

Prostar 15x3.5 with tires ~10lbs a piece x 2 = ~20 lbs

100-110 - 20 = 80-90 lbs.

I don't know exactly what the front skinnies weigh but I can EASILY pick one up with one hand and curl it.

I run 15x3.5 Prostars with a 1.75" backspacing. Any other size of backspacing will not work.

10 lbs is the weight of just a single prostar rim all by itself. My buddy has Prostars 15x3.5's they weigh 10 lbs each with no tire. With 26" Moroso DS2 on there they weigh 22 lbs each. While they are light I don't see any way a Prostar or any drag wheel with a tire mounted come in at 10 lbs a piece simply because all the drag tires out there are around 10 lbs to begin with. I think your scale is wayyyy off if its saying they weight 10 lbs a piece.

That was an estimate but do the tires really weigh 12 lbs?? I'm running Kumho radials and they are lighter than the rims.
