It may need very little grinding on the caliper

if you consider "very little" about half the material off your caliper than this statement is correct. i'm running 15x8's and thought the grinding would never end. if you do a search you can find a write up with pics

A spacer will lessen the grinding from a whole lot to just a lot. But it is still a lot of grinding.

There has been a couple of proven cases on here where brake failure has occured, can't help but believe removing too much material weakened the structural stability of the caliper. However, the fronts are doing most of the braking. If you want to go to the trouble, LT1 calipers don't need near as much material removed to clear.

I used a 5/16 spacer on the rear and didn't have to grind anything. You can also buy an aluminum bur for a die grinder and it will go a lot quicker. We had both of my fronts done in less than 2 hours

3 hours, one ground finger and a 12 pack, fits like a glove.

Interesting, what Centerlines did you use? We have a customer with an LS1 Camaro who wants to go with 15" rims without having to do any grinding. Thanks. Bob

centerline convo pros. 15x4 fronts with 26x7.5-15 MT sportsman fronts, and 15x8.5 rears with 255/60/15 MT drag radials, however i now have 325/5015s on the 15x8.5s
