Default New Wheels

I am looking into getting these wheels for my 99 LS1. However, by looking at the offset, it seems they would not fit properly. Or maybe they do, and I'm looking at the data all wrong.

I like my current set up, but the 8.5in wide wheels and 245 tires that came when I bought the car can't hook up well at all... duh.. skinny as heck.

Here is the car they will be going on:

They also have the same diameter wheels but in a thinner width here:

Thanks for the reply man. Yeah, it looked like the rear offset isn't matching. I REALLY want these and am wondering if I am straight out of luck.

I'm going to search for tomzwheels right now.

Looks like if I go with the 18x9.5 for the fronts, the offset is fine.

But I want to get the 18x10.5 for the rear. The wheels are 58 offset, where we need a +38 to +50 mm for 10.5inch wheels. So will a 10mm wheel spacer work? Or are there other options I am not seeing on their site. I've heard mix reviews on wheel spacers.

good choice of wheels...don't know much about backspacing. spacers should work. what are the negatives you've heard about spacers?

I've just simply heard they are not the best idea. But my friends (both own modded A4's, one of which is pretty freaking nice) said they are fine as long as you don't get too big of spacer.

It seems like a 10mm spacer will do well on the rear if I get the 18x10.5 sized wheel, where for the front 18x9.5 should work without one. Am I correct?

Yea, you will need like a 1/4" spacer for the backs. Problems with spacers that are 1/2" or smaller are rare.

Thanks man. I'm pretty darn sure these are the ones.

However, the only way I can afford these Z06 ones are if I sell my current set up (which the previous owner put only a few months he sold it) He spent a pretty penny on them for sure, so it is off to put them for sale.

I am making fender mods to hold the 19x12 wheel in the rear of my o1 z28. I am putting the 18x9.5's in the front. When I get it finished I will post pics.

Default offset

Like the five spoke C6 wheels and these that you want, the offset sets the wheels in more than any other wheel that I've seen. I have the AR Rebels and they fit perfect without any spacers to extend the wheel out. Be careful of wheel spacers, if you read the sticky threads from Xsta Z 28, spacers are not recommended!

This is what I'm talking about here.

I'll go ahead and read those stickies.

Is there any way I can use these wheels on my car without spacers?! Haha

I emailed TomZ, and he said the 18x9.5 on the front and 18x10.5 on the rear will fit on my Z28.

Will a rear wheel of an offset of +58 work? Word on the street is that +50 is the max or so.

Thanks.
