My new ZR1 - 11"x17" rims have been shipped.
What tires should I consider?
The car is set up for handling the twisties so I'm leaning toward the Goodyear new F1s. The down side is the high cost at $280 per tire.
Are Nitto drags a bad choice here? What about BFGs?
...any other good choices in 315/35/17?

I had two sets of the original Goodyear F1 tires several years ago (1 set in 1999 and another set in 2001) and they were OK but the wear was very poor; they lasted only 15-20K which is very bad for the way I drive.
So, I guess I would try them again but I am a tad scepticle.

I have some Goodyear FI GS D3's on order now, so if you want the BFG's (500 miles total), make me an offer. They're brand new. Like I said in my PM to you, I'm in Scarsdale -- come and get them...

Dbank:
OK great; these are 315s? - I suppose you'll need to get your new tires mounted so give me a call after and I'll check your BFG tires out.

My buddy runs them on his LS2 GTO with great confidence... its just a shame they no longer make them in 315... I have BFG's on all four corners and I like how they perform. The drag radials in the rear are super sticky. The fronts get great traction too!
