Are 18"s to big??

I have 18's and they look too small. I think its because I put a 275-40, instead of a 275-35. So my tires are a little bigger, but they were cheaper so I went with them.

I'm not a big fan of those wheels though, I think there are better looking wheels out there. I like the black C6's with a polished lip, and no rivets, you should look into those.

I've said it a few times before... I think staggered diamter rims look terrible on f-bodies. Because of the wheel wells being the same size and not smaller in front like on a vette, it looks off. And to compensate for overall diamter you need a larger profile tire up front which looks terrible. Do 18s all around.
And going form 17s to 18s DOES make a big difference both visually and for performance. since youre going with an 18 in the rear regardless, you will have the same stright line traction, but having an 18 up front should give you better handling/steering response.

i have 18 inch c6's all around and i love them..as for the performance my car does pick up a lil quicker with the stock wheels on mainly due to the fact that they are lighter but it isn't a significant difference. Also if you go to the strip alot your traction may not be as good with 18's due to the fact that you have a smaller amount of tire and also due to the weight but it honestly wont be enough of a difference to make you second guess your decision to go with bigger wheels.

I have 18's up front and 19's in the back. listen to everyone when they say the ride will be rough! it sure as hell is but if you dont care about ride comfort like me then go for it. i love my 19x10's wrapped around 315/25-19 michelin ps2's but the price is a killer! i work at disount tire and i pay $450 a piece for these tires. normally at $518 (price changes a lot!!!!) they are worth the grip for everyday driving but go for a smaller rim for some drag radials or slicks. it will be heavier but thats not really noticeable until you go to the drag strip and loose .1 sec if that. to answer the question of the post... i dont believe 18's are too big. going over 19 is hard to make look good but i have seen some that are kinda nice. attached is a pic of mine!

many people can easily tell a difference between a 17 and 18 inch wheel from looking at it..
I think they both look equally good with the determining factor being the wheel itself... what style it is..
