Default Are 18"s to big??

I am lookin at a set of C6's right now for my Camaro that are 17x9.5 in the front and 18x10.5 in the back... The fronts weigh 26 lbs and the rears weigh 32... Is 18" to big of a wheel to spin w/o draggin down the car?? Also does anyone know the weight of a stock 16" 5 spoke?? Thanks.

i have 18'' C6 Z06's all the way around. 10.5 on back. I didn't notice anything going from 17'' C5 wheels. BUTTTT. They are kinda heavy. I just love the way they look though.

I think 18" is the perfect size for the fourth gens.

If I change out my 17's....I will also go 19-20....why bother going 1 measly inch bigger...unless u r a wheel freak...NO ONE CAN TELL....IMO...18's are a waste of time/money.....[..in wheels= "go big--or go home"..]

18's look perfect on F-bodies. I have 17's right now, but can't wait till I get my 18's. The only way that I am staying with 17's is if I get FM5's..

I have 18's on mine... 9.5 and 11...

If you go 19/20, tires are stupidly expensive, and you aquire one hell of a rough ride due to having tires that are thinner than a rubber band.

I agree. Anything bigger and a lowered ride is rough.

I have 2K2 Corvette Wheels on my car and I wouldn't give them up for anything. 17/18s They look better than any aftermarket wheel and you have the quality of OEM.

Mine weigh about 50lbs a tyre/rim. How much are yours?

And for the OP. My 18'' in the back are just perfect. You will love having 18'' on your car.

I was never planning on going over 18"... And I think I will do a 17 in the front and 18 in the back.. My main question was about the performance aspect of going to a bigger rim. Will the car have any trouble spinning the 18" compared to the 16"??? Here is what I am lookin at (I know the 17" and 18" are not to scale on the car...) What do you guys think???

the 18in will prolly weigh a bit more therefore giving the wheels more roatating mass making it harder for the car to turn the wheels therefore it dragging u down more... not by much but more...

with that said i have for DD 18's all the way around and i love them... but they give u horrible traction if u step on it! they look amazing tho!

just remember that the bigger the wheel, the more expensive the tires will be for them.
