Collectible value also requires desirability. These wheels were discontinued for a reason, they are pretty much the ugliest LS 4th gen wheel ever made, and even the dealerships wouldn't order them.

I don't see them being worth much, unless there is some diehard restorer in 20 years that has that option code on his WS6. Better hope he is rich, otherwise they won't be worth much then either

Honestly I don't think they're any uglier than the Speedline ones.

X2

I really don't think they are that bad at all...of course the only wheel to go with on a WS6 is the 98' Style WS6 wheel...As far as stock goes.

I would actually take these over the speedlines...i once saw a set that were HIGHLY polished...looked real schnazzzzy.

Brandon tell me why you want another set of rims. You change rims faster than anyone I know.

Exactly. Not that there is a lot of Maple Red TAs running around, but the standard 5 spoke is all too common. Don't get me wrong, I'd rock a set of TTII's just like the next guy for the right price, but I like it being different. I guess being on a message board where there are soooo many 5 spoke designs, it almost gets "cookie cutter", even though I hardly see any aftermarket wheels on any TA here in Toledo.

I allmost bought an 01 WS6 new off the lot that had those wheels so some of the 01's also got them.

I also know the guy that does the orders for the new cars there. He told me that there was a strike at the plant that makes the WS6 wheels at one point and all WS6 orders were on hold. The only way to get around this hold was to opt for the rare style wheels and most dealers were unaware that they could get around the hold or that the other wheels existed.

I personally dont think they look bad at all, they look better in person IMO.

It may have been a 2000 that was left over from the previous year. And those rims were prolly the reason it was left over

I don't think that they are that bad....atleast you won't have to worry about pulling up next to another vehicle with them on it. But with TTII you would for sure.

These wheels were the STANDARD wheel for the 2000 WS6. The 5 spoke chromes were an option. From the research I have done, the initial reaction was not a good one, so almost every WS6 got ordered with the 5 spokes. They barely made them on in 2000, so I'm pretty sure 2001 never had them. Maybe it was a 2000 you saw but somebody labeled it 2001. Here are some pics of the ordering brochures for the 2000 Firebird lineup.

Zoomed in view. You can see the first three are the 16" X 8" models, then the two 17" x 9" for the WS6.
