You'd be fine with a set of Nitto 555R drag radials - lots of tread depth and you won't have any problems in the rain.

I have had awesome luck with BFG KD's, they are great in dry (doesn't mean they stick on a stalled 400RWHP car from a dig, but from a 25MPH role my back end doesn't go too crazy), and they are really good in the rain. Lots of places say they suck in the rain, but I've been caught in some down pours and they have been really good. Again, BFG KD's, not KDW's. Also Goodyear GSD3's are suppose to be very good wet/dry.

I had Pirelli P-Zero Nieros on our GTO. Very good all around tire & low 1.9 short times....
