265/35/18 Wrong Size?

I bought 265/35/18 tires for my 18" rims on my TA and they're alittle small and I should of bought the 275/35/18. Is there much of a tire size difference and will the 275's fill my wheel well out a lot more? Is there another size I should look at? I plan to lower my car with Strano springs and want to get the best look possible. Thanks

Wait, what?
When you say 18 inch rims you are referring to the diameter of the rim.
You did not specify the width of the rim at all, which is what you're going to need to know before deciding what size of tire you'll need.

Yes, they would look better and have much better road feel. On a 9" rim you could still do a 275. I haven't checked in a while but I would imagine there is a wider variety of choices in that size.

thats cool......i would rather scuff my rim because there isnt enough tire beyond the rim........
whats cheeper to replace.....a tire or a rim....

not only do 315's look better......but "if" for god sakes something happens and you get too close to a curb.....265's arent going to save the rim at all
end result.....do what you want to do....

[QUOTE=michaelg589;8434583]Dont listen to these guys who put 315s on the stock rims.
"So youd squeeze WAY to big a tire on too small a rim and potentially have it be dangerous, rather than just be careful around curbs. OK, thats smart. "
been in the tire industry 6yrs......never had a single prob.....and you are telling me that is dangerous....hhmmmm i better tell all the IRL teams over here in park100 "behind my shop" that i shouldnt mount their tires because they are way too big and could be dangerous on their cars.........doubt it.....
andretti/green racing has me mount 15in tires on 11 in rims all day long
let me get you a pic of this......then their phone number so you can give them advice.....LOL

I run a 265/35/18 front (9.5" rim) and 295/30/18 rear (10.5" rim). I prefer my tires to look more like \ / over / \ Going this route will reduce sidewall flex and increase steering response.
