Default Rechromed Firehawks or Chrome TTMs

I have a 2000 black firehawk and my firehawk wheels are pitting and flaking. I want to get a new set of wheels but can't decide on which to get. I really like the look of the firehawk wheels but also like the new TTMs. There are way to many cars with TT2s in my area. Everywhere i look....chrome wheels are anywhere from 200-250 a wheel to get rechromed. Should i go with some new wheels or get the hawks rechromed? Even if i do get new wheels...the hawks will go in storage. The only reason i really want the TTMs over the firehawks is so that i can fit a wider tire on the rear.

After seeing how mine pitted on the inside (not back area, inside of tire area) I say get new TTM's, but be warned, they are both made by the same company, American Racing, as they made firehawk wheels too for SLP. FWIW.

This isn't anywhere near a comparison, firehawk wheels would look waaaaaay better than TTM's.

Nice hawk. Any idea where i can get my wheels rechromed for a decent price? I really do't want to pay $250 a wheel.

No offense..but if i do it..im going to get the best job done possible so i wont have to redo it later on. Id rather do it once and do it right. I really jsut dont want to pay $250 a wheel. Some guys in cali do it for 160 a wheel....but then its going to be around 40 a piece for shipping.

I say if you can find someone then rechrome them for sure. I had the same problem, but just couldnt justify $1,000 on rechroming when I could get other wheels and still keep mine. I ended up buying some used fikse fm10s. If you find somewhere that will rechrome your wheels for cheaper than 250 a wheel that isnt in cali then please send me a pm as I would be super interested. Good luck.

BTW: 02 hawk your tires are waaaaay too big for your wheel. That kinda makes it look funny and is not safe.

But, IMO, keep the Firehawks and maybe put a 285-40 on there.
