Default 18" or 19" ruff

I've got an 00 trans am vert, it's not lowered, probably won't lower it. I'm trying to decide between 18 and 19 inch rims, looking at ruff 278 or 280. The car is not my daily driver and is driven more for cruising than performance. Which size wheels will look better? Any difference in ride between them?

on a T/A the 278 would look good and if you want 9.5 wide wheels you need 19". 18" only come in 8.5 wide

If the car is for appearance, then 19's or a mixture of 19/18 would look good

Wrong the 18" also come in 9.5 width. I have the 279's, 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 in the back. I would suggest you go with 18's, any larger just doesn't look right on our cars.

i would do the 18's all the way around.....19's are getting more and more expensive these days......if you can keep your foot out of it, those 19's will definatly look better but i think 18 all around

Thanks to those offering compliments. And to INMY01TA, it's not your cup of tea, and that's fine. I'm not a fan of 17s... to each their own.

jmo 18s and 19s look cool on vettes and all but for fbodys i think 17s are the perfect wheel size with 285s and 315s in the back..... alot lighter, hooks better, and cheaper...... but if you want the bigger look go 18s all around
