Default mounting slick on a rim, with or without tubes

I just purchased two 15x10 weld racing rims, and A friend gave me two slicks. Do I need to use tubes or not. Also I have a 2002 camaro manual 6-speed with a moser 9 inch 4.56 gear (locker) should I run 26 or 28 inch tall tires?

you should run 28's. i have 26's with a moser 9in. with 4.10 gears and am sorry i got that size. with that kind of gearing a taller tire is better. it is good to run tubesd. they are only about 20 dollars each. i have no tubes and the tires loose air in a few days.

NOt only losing air its a big safety issue as well!!! DEF RUN TUBES, you will also have to stud your rims with tubes. Jegs/summit sells the stud kit for it

If you run the tubes you shouldnt have to run screws in the wheels. If you go without tubes then they should have screws in place to keep the tire seated on the bead at low pressure.

I am not 100% but I am pretty sure this is inaccurate. If you run tubes you need to screw the rims to the tires and here is why. With tubes you have a valvestem that sticks though the valvestem hole in the rim. If you dont screw the rim to the tire then when the tire spins on the rim from a hard launch the tube will try to spin also and it will shear off the tube valvestem and your tube will go flat. If you dont run tubes then you don't have to run rim screws, if you run tubes then you do need to run rim screws.

I personally have run M/T ET street slicks at 15 psi on welds with no tubes on a 500+ HP 600+ TQ mustang and never had a problem.
