Yes, one is half an inch wider
But seriously, if you are wondering if you can put a 315 on a 10.5" wheel, it has been done on here specifically with the TT-M wheels (not sure why they don't just do 11", you bring up a good point, but who the hell knows why they skip the last half inch). There was a post a while back by someone I believe with "kid" in their user name, comparing the GS-D3 315 tire to another 315, and it was unreal the difference. Sorry I can't be more specific, but it should be on here somewhere.

Manufacturer's claims...tread width is what should is expected to touch the surface when mounted on the ideal wheel size.

my buddys gsd3's and my bfg kd's are both huge for a 315. the bfg is actually a tad wider but doesnt look it as they have a more rounded profile on the tire shoulder. i also have 315 bfg drag radials and 315 m/t drag radials and the m/t is the smallest of the 3 with the kd being the largest. sumitumos and nittos are a joke and an embaressment to the number 315.

YES! With no issues. It looks like it belongs on a 9.5" wheel. When you mount that little bastard on an 11" wheel, it doesn't even look safe. There is more of a chance of it coming off the bead on an 11" wheel than a 9.5" wheel. It'd be like mounting any other 275 tire on an 11" wheel.

No, no, no, and...no.
Just because someone's buddy did it with no issues and/or someone knew a guy who ran them for 50,000 miles that way and never had a problem doesn't make it safe.

315 tires on a 10 inch rim will not be discussed on this forum, as discussed in great length in the sticky above in this forum!
...anyway, sure each tire manufacturor of size 315 has a different width. My Verdies have a rounded shoulder so they appear to be less wide than a Goodyear since that tire has square shoulder.
It is short of like shoe sizes. A Buster Brown size 10 may be bigger than a Hush Puppy in the same size. (I only wear the good shoes now, however - pure Chinese made from real dog and cat leather)
