Default Year One Wheels...anyone running them?

As the title says, I was just wondering if anyone was running these yet, especially on a 4th gen. I saw an ad for them on the back of the latest GMHTP.

As featured on the "Bandit T/A":

This is the best i can get off their site:

The 17 x 9" are $499, and the 18 x 12" are $999. Expensive, but have you priced other billet wheels lately?

EDIT: 1,000 posts, woo hoo.

Snowflakes need to stay on a 2nd gen. They just don't go with a 4th gen.

They actually do look a lot different. Like stated above, they don't belong on a 4th gen. They look great on the Bandit Edition T/A however

We'll just have to agree to disagree on both points. I don't have a T/A, so it doesn't matter. I just wanted to see if anyone actually owned them.

I wish I could find that picture of the Year One Formula that has them on it.

Well owning a set of Evos and also seeing the Year One 4th Gen with those wheels I can definitely say they look much different, especially in person. We agree to disagree

They look out of place on a 4th Gen IMO.

I think they look badass and would buy a Firebird just to put those wheels on. I've always loved the Snowflakes and these are killer!

It's thinking like this that makes every single car on this forum look exactly the same. People need to start thinking outside the box and try new and unique things. I like these wheels and am pretty curious to see how they look in different finishes. I bet they would look really nice in a gunmetal finish with a polished hoop.

Wow, I was beginning to feel alone. Everyone has been crazy about doing retro things like Torque Thrusts, 1st / 2nd gen badges, hockey stripes (no comment), etc. etc., yet they're hating on these.

I'm gonna find that damned picture.

Well, you know, since they're not Torque Thrusts or some variation of a Corvette wheel, you just KNOW they must be crap.

Personally, I love them, and think they'd look killer on my Formula. If I had that kind of coin to blow on wheels, I can't think of anything I'd rather have.
