Is that too wide of a tire for a 9.5" wheel?

It's fine......it also says no to a 285 on a 9" wheel. I know about ten doods including myself running that setup for years with no issues. I wouldn't go larger then a 295 though on a 9.5.

NO NO NO NO . . . It is not fine . . . it is NOT recommended and a tire shop that will do it is careless.

10" minimum.
