Widest wheel without major modification?
Buying a new rear and new set of wheels (18s) and I'd like to go as wide as I can in the rear without having to mini tub/move the spring mounts. Rolling the fenders and BFH modding is okay though. Would prefer not to move the LCA mounts, but it's a possibility. Would be willing to narrow the rear a bit if needed. Mainly don't want it to rub.
So what's the widest wheel we can run in back without minitubbing or moving the suspension. Thanks.

i went with 10.5 rim and 295x35 bfg ta with a 7/16 spacer needed a little BFH mod for tight turns in just one spot. the tire isnt all the way flush becaus I had it like that and when I have someone in the back and hit a bump the fender would hit the tire. < maybe because of my prokit, I dont know

Yea stock Vette wheels are fine, as they are not 11" wide A huge number of guys here on the board and out on the streets put the wheels on there cars, use a spacer because the offsets are usually for Vettes, not F Bods.

What's the main limitiation on wheel width? To say going with a 12" wheel?
Since I'm getting a new rear end fabricated, Narrowing it by an inch and moving the lcas in a bit isn't that big of an issue. Just would rather not modify the spring/shock geometry.
Would a mini tub to just before the suspension parts do the trick? Along with moving the lcas in a bit?
