So, anybody have any tire pricing for 335's ???? I spotted some of the, I'm assuming roadcourse oriented Hoosiers for like 200 a pop. I'm wondering if that's in reality as cheap as any 335 is going to be had.

Not to divert, but on a side question I'm real curious about. Are M6 cars able to hook with these short sidewall tires???? As long as they are wide and somewhat sticky. I'm needing to make a gearing choice really asap as I'm about to have my diff out for a swap, but I can't pick a ratio until I know whether I'm going for 335 shorties, or a 27 to 28 inch tall tire. So, short sidewalls able to hook with the shock loads of an M6 (manual trans)????

I'm not sure if this car is street driven at all with these, or if these are 315's or 335's but I suspect they are 335's. Wicked look though.

If I thought even 315's would not pull all over up front on the street I'd go for this look in a heartbeat. Though, at a minimum up front I'd have a tire with some actual tread pattern for an attempt at water displacment, if not out back as well. I've already got the 36mm offset wheels, just not 11's up front. At the least, I'll be running 335's out back and 285's up front. I tend to like the look of a little more sidewall buldging out. Plus it offers some wheel protection for those drivethrews with curbs to close together.

I own the 2002 Camaro SS mentioned above and I've been running
the 335/35/17 Michelin Pilot Sports for over 3 years on a set of 17x11 TT-II's.
Here's a few items that I had to modify to get them to fit.
I removed the Bump Stops because they hit the inner part of the tire.
Of course I had to massage the Inner Fender with a BFH. BUT just a
little more than for the 315's. I also used a 1/4" Baer Billet Spacer to move
the tire out alittle to prevent from rubbing while going around corners.
However, I did NOT roll the fenders, nor Narrow the rearend while running this setup.

Unfortunately.... As of recent, I have Mini-tubbed my 02 SS and this setup
no longer fits do to narrowing the rear 6". I am placing them up for sell.
Guess I'll post them up in the classifieds soon.
Look in my Car Domain site and you'll see the set up
The Wheels are American Racing TT-II's that have been Custom Powder Coated.
FrontWheels~ 17x9.5 with a 7.0" Back Space
Front Tires~ 285/40/17's Michelin Pilot Sports <---Went with the 285's to maintain the same ride height as the 335's in the rear

Rear Wheels~ 17x11's with a 7.750" Back Space
Rear Tires~ 335/35/17's Michelin Pilot Sports

All Tires have 80% or better tread life remaining.
Also, I have both sets of center caps. Plain or Billet Knock-Offs
If anyone is interested shoot me a PM

The Tires Price range from
335/35/17 ----$450.00-485.00
285/40/17 ----$410.00-430.00
Not including M&B or Tax

Yeah, it Sux A$$ to look this good, but it's well worth it!

Seriously? Honestly, I thought the actual chasis's on these cars were identical, and the rear fenders are part of the unibody. I'm not arguing, but I find it hard to beleive that with as cheep as GM was with the 4th gen f-bodies that they'd produce two differeent unibody chassis's for the firebird and camaro.

Now if you were to say that they stuck out further in the back, I could beleive that because that's where the rear bumper attatches.

I thought so too. The top of the rear fender on my buddys Camaro would practically sit on top of my tire compared to when it was on my Formula and it was tucked in. Both have stock length rearends.

This may sound dumb, but I'm having trouble locating 305/315's on the internet ( for pricing purposes) any good places to look?

Hopefully we'll plan another Lakefront Trip before long, so you'll probably get a
chance to see it first hand and give your on opinions. I look forward to them.

I still have to reinstall the 5-Point Harnesses (x2) But,... it's coming along

Thanks Again!

Couldn't agree more, really killer look.......

How good is an M6 car going to hook on 335's with no more than say 400 ish HP???? I'm real curious, as 335's possibly even the Hoosiers might be in my cars future. This look is growing on me big time.
