People, we aren't talking cheap *** **** here. These rims have fully polished barrels, and if you don't keep up on them, they will and do look like ****. I have a hard enough time keeping mine clean, and I hardly drive the car anymore, and I certainly don't drive it if the roads are even CLOSE to being wet. As a matter of fact, my car hasn't moved for 6 months , and the rims have gotten dirty enough that I'll have to repolish them entirely, and they've been doing nothing but sitting in a garage.

For sure! It takes me 8-10 hours of polishing to do all 4 wheels. This is a task that needs to be done 2-3 times a year if you only drive it in good weather (and I too do not drive it in the rain either). At least thats how much I find myself polishing them. I may be a little obsessive compulsive though

Well, I have seen powdercoating flake before. I had some parts powdercoated locally and they were flaking after a few months. These were engine bay parts, so they did get kind of hot, but I didn't think powdercoated parts flaked at all, so I wouldn't put it past anything...
I am a bit disappointed as well that they do not come wider. I'm actually contemplating getting some wider CCW wheels and tires for the rear so that I can run a 325 or 335 when I bolt the CCW's up...

I have a set of CCW SP16A's and am tired of the upkeep as well. Even sitting they are a pain in the *** to keep looking nice.
I have been thinking of painting the spokes and barrells gloss black with clearcoat and leaving the lips polished. This might have pushed me over the edge to do it. My wheels are a similiar design so I think it will look good.

Thaks guys. They should arrive friday, so I'll get some pics up this weekend
Just chalk it up to the maintenance routine man. It is still worth it to pimp the baddest wheels around. If you don't DD your car, you could get away with polishing maybe once a year if all it sees is sunshine for not a lot of miles per year. Just keep them clean between polishes.

This is a common thing...lots of people are willing to give their take on CCWs and how they'd pimp them in the snow if they owned them, but they don't realize how much work it is to keep them looking like they should.

Im sorry but if I had 3-4 grand to fork out on CCW's Im damn sure gonna be gettin my moneys worth outta them. I mean hell if you got 3-4 grand to spend on rims you definately got enough money to pick up a beater to just keep the miles off the bird/camaro period. The Rims can be replaced, the car cant!
