The cars still dirtier than a mexican hooker. Between school, work, internship, and shitty weather, I basically get them mounted, drove it once and havent looked at the car since last week. Hopefully this weekend Ill be able to wash it but than another problem occurs, I dont own a camera..

Fikse owners; I have drooled over these rims for years. If I was going to buy some rims I want ones that not only look incredible, but are also lighter than stock. I figure that I would improve the vehicle in two criteria. Fikse fits the bill.
Okay, how much lighter are they than the stock SS wheels and do you notice any improvement in ride/handling? In theory lighter unsprung weight is superior for performance... Is it unrealistic to have a measurable improvement in handling etc from wheel weight reduction?

to be honest i didn't feel any difference. I guess maybe quicker lane changes due to the 35 ratio side wall vs the 40 of the 17. But like i said i didn't feel a thing.
If I had replica zr1 that weight 27 lbs. and put these on then there would be a world of difference.
But i can tell you i've had more people compliment me on my Fikse's than my ultra Z hood.

^ Thanks for the reply. I think my 10 spoke S's factory rims are around 23 lbs each, I assumed the Fikse were lighter but only 5-6 lbs is not a lot. I didn't realize the factory ZR1 were so light!
I would just go with 17 inch again so a 5 lb or so weight saving probably won't make a difference that is noticeable on the street...
