no tires mounted on em yet, so if anyone wants a set of of ruff racing hyper black 278's 18x8.5 18x9.5
its 660 for the set. im done with this.
How do they not fit???? . . .

Front or rear??

What is conflicting with what?

---------------------------------------------------------------------
The rear wheels you quote should fit EXACTLY like the rear wheels of my Berger SS, which are 9.5" wide and 38 mm offset. . . . Car is lowered 1.5" on Eibach Prokit . . . The ONLY issue I run into out back is the passenger side rear tire 275/40ZR17 ever so slightly rubs the wheel well lip on a big dip or bump in the road. An adjustble panhard would fix that perfectly.

A 275/35ZR18 would be a perfect tire.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The front . . . should bolt up 100% . . . and would ride in the wheel well almost the same as my front Berger SS wheels. Just moved in 9.7 mm . . .

A 245/40ZR18 would be the perfect tire.

rear would fit beautifully. the fronts would rub pretty badly if i were to mount a tire on there. im not sure how to explain it, except to say the outside edge of the tire would rub in a turn...badly...inside edge would have plenty of room.
Im thinking of switchin to hotchkis springs, to bring the car up slightly, that should fix the issue. the vogtland springs just seem a bit to low, closer to 2 inches then 1

i know it wont fit because i put the rim on the car..you know, checked it out like they recommend... theres not enough room to get a tire on it, trust me. no its not 660 shipped, their still in box except the one which went on and came off. i paid 700 for em, im not taking a hit on shipping too. depending on how quick i can get my hands on a set of hotchkis springs, i might not even be selling them

I am very shocked to say the least. Mathmatically they should fit, with even more room than my current front wheels . . . Makes me wonder if the front wheels really are 35 mm offset. . . .

What does the back space measure out to be?? Lay the wheel face down on a towel/carpet/rug, lay a straight edge across the beads of the wheel and measure the distance from the lug mounting plate to the striaght edge.

Should be around 6.128" . . . if not, then they are not 35 mm offset . . .

Do the 9.5" 38 mm fit up front? Because they should . . . .

Is this where you feel they will rub?

BTW the picture above is a 38 mm offset 18" x 9.5" wide wheel with a 275/35ZR18 tire . . . .

No problem at all. Buying wheels is an investment. Just trying to help as best to find out what if anything went wrong.

From the info you have posted so far, the wheels should fit, thus why I am asking so many questions.

Would hate for you the unload wheels that will fit, I'll check back later.

The Ruff 278 9.5 rim is a 45mm offset, technically it should fit up front as well but the orientation of the spokes doesn't allow it. It will hit the caliper.

Take a few measurements on the both the fronts and rears and get back to us. Something doesn't seem right?

i know, it doesnt seem right to me either, i know people have fit em, and mine just isnt having it. the cars never been in an accident or anything, so i dunno. Im thinking its the damn vogtland springs, because the car sits lower then the advertised 1.2 inches. its 2 inches or slightly more. i think that might be the issue. i may be going with hotchkis springs in the near future.
