Default Wheels for a 2002 Firehawk?

I had my original 17"x9" chrome "firehawk" wheels stolen while in storage last winter. I want to replace them with American Racing 17x9 chrome vintage Torq-Thrust M's or Torq-Thrust II's and 275/40ZR17's. The sales person from Tire Rack says his information shows possible "fitment problems" with that combination. That is the same size wheel and tire that came on the vehicle. It seem like there are a lot of TTII's out there. Are fender modifications required? Tire Rack even suggested on their web site that 17x10's could work but am not sure of any issues with the wider wheel. This is a daily driver and I do not want to take a sledge hammer to it. Thanks in advance for your advice...

There will be no problems with those wheels and 275 tires - same as stock. It's when you get up to 17x11 and 315's that you may need to pull out the sledgehammer.

the 17x9's will fit just fine. You can get the 17x10.5? to fit even with 315's, might just have to roll the fender a little.

wow sorry to here about your loss bro. I love those firehawk wheels. 17x9 or 9.5 will fit all around with no problem. 10.5s with a 295 will fit nicely. 315s will need some persuasion.

Is your car lowered? if so, you might gonna need to roll the fenders a little, anyways TT2's (17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear) fit fine and without any problem with stock height.

TT2's and TTM's will fit fine on the rear with the wider wheels and 315 tires on a stock height vehicle with no modifications. In fact I think you can lower it as much as 1 inch before you need any mods. The narrower wheels with a 25/40/17 will also work fine. We have the TT2's in stock here at the shop and the TTM's in chrome and black are on the way. We should have the best pricing anywhere on these wheels.

Thanks
Tom
