good things here, im tossing around the thought of getting either one of these BUT cant make my mine up..
I do track and street.
I wont be DD on the tires and the longest trips in these would be around 60 mile round trip.
I want something that would be a good combo with a m6.

ALOT of gto guys say a ET street, but i just know since ill be running radials up front and dont know the street manners of the ET's that much.

So i am trying to keep with a DR!

Well, since I posted up... I still have my 315/35/17's Hoosiers DR's on for the street and they are still in good shape but its not my DD, so keep that in mind. But, also keep in mind these tires have no tread pattern (except for two lines) and will be like driving on ice if you get cought out in the rain.

But, I was curious to see how a 275/50/15 Hoosier Dr (its lighter then the 26" ET Street that I run) would do. It worked great and hooked, but oh man it wears pretty quick. Two trips to the track (~15 runs) and the tires are pretty much gone.

So, I am giong back and sticking with my 26" ET Street's.

Also, FYI.. I cut a 1.45 60' (and allways low 1.5's) on my old 16" stock TA wheels on a 255/50/16 MT DR. So, if you want a tire for the street, then go to the track and tear it up and drive home, get some MT DR's. Dont forget to lower the PSI to ~18 or so.

I have Hoosiers QTPs mounted on stock 16" T/A wheels....they hook great at the track, but I would not use them on the street. My 93 T/A had about 370 RWHP and it pulled consistant 1.7x 60 foot times. I would buy Hoosiers again. I have heard good things about MT DRs, but never have used them personally.

The Hoosier DOT Drag Radial will 60' better than the MT, but you should only use them ON THE TRACK..

They are very light w/ no sidewall and lots of flex..

If you have to drive there and can't change up, then use the MT's.

Hoosiers work well here.. 275/60/15 @ 16-17psi 1.41 best and a lot of 1.44-1.45's on them. Oh and they have over 500 street miles and probably 25+ passes. They're still show 50% or better tread..I'm impressed to far. Oh and they're lightweight.
