Default What tires should I get?

Basically for the street and some Track time. I have the stock 16inch rims. Cannot afford anything else.

you know i have had my 275/40/18 KDW tires for almost 2 years now. they have about 20k miles on them and plenty of tread left. My car makes 341rwhp and 348 rwtq, but i'll be damned if im going to buy another pair of these when the time comes. I can spin these tires with ease. I guess if this was strictly a street driven daily driver they would be alright, but i DD my car and have put some serious miles on them in a short period (2600 in 3 days to be exact) and drive not crazy but aggressive and i wish i had a more sticky tire. My next tires look to be the KD if there are still any sitting in warehouses by then, or i might try those Vredestiens. The GS-D3's are another option but there damn expensive too.

There's another discussion going on right now about Cooper tires. The general opinion is that they're pretty good and pretty reasonable. I've had a couple of sets of Falken ties on my wife's Lincoln LS with good results.

Granted, the LS is not a drag strip stormer, but it'll carve the corners as well as a Camaro/Firebird, and the Falkens do the job....and are VERY cost effective.

On 16's you're limited. The General Exclaim UHP is a great tire for under $100 each.
