Food for thought,
The TTII's in a 17x11 have a 7 3/4" BS. Backspacing is the measurment of the mounting pad of the wheel to the inboard flange of the wheel. If you have a 17x11 with a 7.75 BS there is 3.25" of that wheel that will be left over.
The remaining width of the wheel will stick outwards from the mounting pad.
So now lets take a 15x10 with a 7.5" BS. Subtract those and you get 2.5". That is 2.5" that will also make up the remaining part of the wheel that will stick outwards towards the fender.
Do the same with a 15x10 with a 6.5" BS. 3.5"...you get the point.
A TTII has around 3.25"
15x10 with 7.BS 2.5"
15x10 with 6.5BS 3.5"
A 15x10 with a 6.5" BS, theoretically, will only stick out a 1/4 of an inch more than a 17x11 TTII. That is this much <--->
Now, how many members on the board are running 17x11 TTII's???![Thinker](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/thinker.gif)
I ran TTII's on my car with a 315/35R17 in a BFG KD, which is a very wide tire. The car was lowered and it hit on the inner fenders AND the fender lip. A 15x10 with a 6.5BS and a short 26" tall tire will fit with no rubbing or hitting issues whatsoever. I know this because I ran them on my white "hillbilly sweet ***" 1997 Firebird. When you jump up to a 28" tall tire, like I will be doing today, yes you will have more fitting issues just because the tire is taller. But, with a 6.5" BS you will have less issues with the inner fender well then you would with a 7.5"BS. On the other hand, you will have more issues with the fender lip. But frankly, I would rather roll the thin sheet metal that makes up the fender lip, than beat the inner fender to death with a hammer.
There have been quite a few people on this board who have ran a 15x10 with a 6.5"BS and a 28" and love them because they do not have to do as much modding as the 7.5" guys do.
Everyone was bitching when Greg Weld came out with the 15x10 in a 6.5", but hell, I ordered a set right away and I'll be mounting them today.

BTW I'd find a picture that shows them from the back of the car not the side. You can't really judge how car it sticks out by looking at the picture. Thats the reason that photo what taken like that. So you couldnt see how ridiculous it looks.

Is that 9" narrowed? I doubt he'd spend all that money on that car and then buy wheels that are the wrong backspace. I can't even see the outside of the fender in those pictures with respect to the area the tires and wheels are occupying. I don't need to see pictures to know if it looks good or not. Its easy to take a picture from one angle to hide it. I've seen them on my friends car for over a year in person and they are ugly.

Without knowing the backspacing and walking up on his car you wouldnt notice it all that much. It just looks weird. But when it is sitting next to another camaro it sticks out like a sore thumb.
