narrow 2 or 3 inchs
im getting a new s60 and im going to have it narrowed and get custom backspacing 17x11 TTII For rims. The question is should I get the rear narrowed 2 or 3 inches each side. I kno that 3 inches will give it a deeper dish witch is what im looking for but is that going to be to deep? And what will give me more options as far as cheep wheels later on in the future because Id also like to have a cheep set of drag wheels for the back or if I want to stitch up to a dif look for the street wheels and don’t want to have to spend the money on expensive one off wheels.

why don't you look for what's currently available in the market right now? For example the Prostars with 5.5" backspacing on a 10" wide rim (where 7.5" backspace fits best) would allow you a 2"/side narrow axle ... I don't know if I was right there, but you get the idea. If I was doing it, I'd do it so it matches products out there already so I don't have to spend a ton trying to get custom wheels later.

thats what I'm asking what will be the more common back spacing 4.5 or 5.5 and what will look better. the ttII I'm getting aren't much more for the custom back spacing i already called tomz and asked them how much they would charge me for them. just if I'm unhappy with the ttII 6 month down the road and want to change them i want to have options

One more thing about narrowing 3" per side, you are gonna have to do some work to keep your e-brake, the bracket that holds the cable needs to be shortened, I just did away with mine.

From what I have gathered is nothing needed to be modified if ur narrowing 2inchs besides compensating for the change in backspacing And if u go with 3inchs u need to move the emergency brake cable bracket
