Wheel weight
Thanks alot
Many guys are seeing up to .2 in the quarter and increased MPH. Typical larger 17+ rims are 22+ lbs for a 9.5-11 inch wide rim.
For example a typical bogart rear rim weighs approx 10 lbs(prostar weighs about 14 lbs). When comparison to a bogart, your looking at a minimum of loosing +40 lbs of rotational weight using Bogarts drag rims over non drag rims!!
It is a matter of what you want to do with your car though...if you want a larger rim look and primarily concerned with a specific appearance, go with larger rims. If your concerned of making your car faster and hook better, then choose the drag style rim.
Bogart does offer a very light style road race style rim for our cars which are also from my recollection, the lightest on the market. A good picture of a set of the RR10's can be seen in GM high tech perfomance magizine... http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../htp_0311_asp/
Hope this gives you some insight.
