BFG KDW NT vs TT

BFG KDW NT vs TT I have a set of KDW 275/40-18's in the traditional tread that I scored for really cheap (1 extra if someone needs it) and need a set of 245/40-18's for the front. These are out of production of course and are hard to come by.
So, I managed to find a set of the 245's in the traditional tread on ebay, but can get a set of the new tread locally for basically the same price. Is there any advantage to going with the new tread ? I am not excited about having two completely different treads on the car, but may do so if there is any benefit to be had.
