New weld owner, need assistance
Ok I need a few thing to get these babys on here.
FOR THE WELDS DO I NEED THE 2.5 INCH STUD OR THE 3.25 INCH?
1) Where to buy the arp studs and the p/n
2) What drag radial will fit a 15x10, so far I have only found the nittos/mickeys/bfg's to come in 275/50/15 and they are only suggested to run on a 9.5 inch wide rim at max....I need something I can dd, as I am planning to DD with the welds on.
Thanks,
Steve
Also if you DD on skinnies up front chime in with some pros and cons

not sure on the p/n. If your running a moser axle i beleive the knurl size of the stud is .615. Micky should have some 315/15 out. most people ive seen run on 275s though. As far was runnin on the skinnys
Pros-hellashish looks everywhere, constant thumbs up
cons-dont hit pot holes, drive with sence, and your abs light will come on constantly due to the different height in tires, but thats not a big deal. Plus im hoping you have a 9in

no 9 inch, i am still on the stock clutch that will give up before the rear, hopefully.
I am still on the ten bolt to be clear, does anyone know the correct p/n for the extended arp wheel studs.
If I blow up the rear I will go with a 9" and the car will just be out of comission for a lil while.

Go with either a 275/50/15 for a 26" diameter tire, or a 275/60/16 for a 28" diameter tire. Both fit fine on a 10" wheel, and both fit with minimal modifications. If you want a really big tire, you could run a 325/50/15 - its a 28" diameter but also very wide and will require some extensive modifications to your wheel wells, etc.
As far as what brand...it depends on what you mean by DD. If this is your sole means of transportation, go with a nitto DR...they're the most 'friendly' in the rain, but not as good as your avg all season radial. BFGs are similar, but won't have as good wet traction. Neither of these tires are good in the snow. If you have something else to drive and this is a 'toy' car then go with a mickey thompson ET street radial. If you don't drive the car as often, I'd say to look into the hoosier drag radials. Any drag radial will not last much over 10K miles if you go to the track any with them...so be prepared to buy tires more often, esp the MT radials and hoosiers...BFGs being a lil better wear wise, nittos to last the longest but not hook as well.
Hit up jegs or summit and do a search for what tires are available in those sizes I listed and search them on this forum for more responses. Good luck.

Yeah I have the nittos right now and they hook up good if you give them a really good burnout. I am looking to hook over 200 more rwtq now so i'm not sure its only going to hook with 12% more contact patch.... Honestly 245/50/16's I am running on the stockers are doing well in the few 2nd gear pulls I have tried, but I cant imagine them hooking with me spraying out of the hole
