Default Would a 285/40/17 work with a 17x11 tt2?

I was wondering if i got a 17x11 tt2 in the back with a Kumho Ecsta ASX 285/40ZR17, would this fit if the rim max is 11 " and would i need any spacing on a my 02 trans am>? Im gonna put 17x9.5 with 275/40/17 in the front either Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season or a BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S.

Will i be able to do a negative offset with the 17x11 since the max rim width for the 285 is 11?

Would you put a 225-50-16 on the stock 16x8 rim. The 11 is ment for a 305 tire going to 285 would push the envelope a little IMHO.

Can't you just get 17x9.5 all around? Then it would be perfect.

Lightbulb

It's within the recommended rim size but, any curb you get too close to is going to be like stink on **** with those wheel lips,IMO!
