I'm not sure about those BFG's, but Nittos are a good street tire and last a long time, but don't hook anywhere as good as the M/T's.

I have a few thoughts:
When using drag radials, make sure that you understand when you are getting wheel hop. When you get wheel hop don't stay on the throttle you have to let off. Staying in it can result in broken wheel studs and rearends.

When tuning a drag suspension at the track with drag radials, you want to run as much tire pressure as you high until the tires start to spin. When I've used 325-50-15's for example, I've started them at 18psi, and last time put them down to 17psi on my 1.35 pass. You want to keep the wait of the car on the back tires, so make sure that the car does not come out, up, and then down and unload the suspension. Doing that can result in tire spin and wheel hop. I run QA1 R shocks up front, and in back. I last ran the fronts at 1/1 and the rears at 7/7. Hope that helps.

 

* Regardless of brand, any DR will wear faster compared to a regular street tire because of the treadwear rating.
* Nitto's are a decent all around tire for street/strip for bolt-ons cars; but will harden up noticeably in very cold weather which renders them almost completely worthless.
* I still advise against driving any DR in wet weather even though some are better than others. DR's already have shaved tread compared to a standard tire and putting miles on them makes it worse.

I run the MT DR 255/50/16 and have pulled a 1.48 60-ft. The pressure was at 18 psi. I really like these tires and probably will stick with them.

Nope, they are still the original design. I'm not sure why they use 2 different designs.

 

I guess the mods didn't feel like my thread was important enough.

 

I think it is lol Anyways I've just got simple boltons so I'm thinking about getting some NT555r's. They should be good enough for the power I'm making and I'm afraid of snapping my 10bolt with MT's. Sound good everyone??

I have 335 Hooiser DR's, but I would prefer the MT's if they weren't on crazy back order
