so far havent shown a whole lot of wear. I would imagine in the same ballpark as a nitto dr. i've felt them both next to eachother and i would say these felt softer. I got them for a little over 200/piece. dont remember what site i found them on but i got them for about $20 cheaper a tire. I could look if anyone really wants them.

Someone needs to invent a tire calculator so all you do is dial in the number of burnouts you do a week and it tells you how many months you have left on your tires!LOL

Little update on these tires. Due to the compound, they don't like any form of burnouts. Even just trying to clean them up a little. They tend to cake up a little on the tires, instead of just getting stickier or even feathering a little like a DR. Still hook great, but just a small consideration

I dont know how to better describe it. If I do it again I will take a picture. Not necessarily bad but it shows how easy these tires wear down and how soft they are

The wasted rubber's just balling up on the tires, they're not getting all clean and sticky like most DR's after some tirespin. (i.e. what you might do before a race that's not, ahem, NHRA sanctioned)

How much tread's left now anyway? They were at like 50% last time I saw 'em, after ******* around the other night off the ave with Shane.

Do you think these tires would do better than a nitto DR in the rain?

I'm looking Looks pretty decent, but the 'balling up' of rubber concerns me.

Its not really balling up as much as its a build up. It shows how easy it is to get these tires really soft. Still hook amazing for a non-drag radial

Sounds like these are not the tires we're looking for 52172...too much powa!!

I'm diggin these hoosiers for street/track hook, and I'm gonna order in a spare set of 17x11s with some sumijunko tires on them for rain/DD type use.

you realize these are r-compound road course/autox tires, right.....and NOT meant for the street or drag strip. i dont care how well you think theyll hook.....youll heat cycle them out in no time, the rubber will wear down, possibly chunk out, and god help you if you have these on during the winter, or anything under 60 deg. toyo says right on their website R888s are NOT to be used during winter, and should be taken off the car and stored properly in a warm climate.
